SUMMER TOURNAMENT - RULES

1 There are three sections based upon latest grades and estimates where necessary.


2 Anyone can challenge any other player up to 2 times only.

3 Colours for the first game between two players are to be drawn in the usual way and 
are to be reversed for the second game if applicable.


4 Points are scored as follows :
                    WIN           DRAW
A v A               3            1.5
A v B               2            1
A v C               1            .5


B v A               4             2
B v B               3             1.5
B v C               2             1


C v A                 5           2.5
C v B                4            2
C v C                3           1.5

5 The rates of play are 30 moves in an hour and ¼ and 15 minutes quick play finish OR 
30 moves in an hour and 1/4 followed by 24 moves an hour and adjourning if necessary


THE RATE TO BE USED MUST BE AGREED BEFORE THE GAME STARTS


6 Games must be played under the normal rules of chess and will be sent for grading.

7 The winner, or in the case of a draw, the player with the white pieces, must enter the correct result in the book provided.





















8The tournament winner is the one with most points at the end of the club evening of






29th August 2014 having played at least 6 different opponents.
