In Round 5 of the Portsmouth Major on Sunday, 19th February, Bill Partridge dispensed with his usual Curry 'n Chips opening and played the " Forgotten Sandwich variation of the Tuna - Kann ". This proved to be a complete disaster and he waved goodbye to a king-size prawn. As the game progressed up the proverbial pear tree, sinking into the murky depths of despair, Bill was heard mumbling to himself "codswallop" and other well known naughtical phrases. This of course did not stop his position from leaping out the deep-fat frier down the pan.
